Safely back home!
The time has flown incredibly fast the last months.
I think I left you somewhere in Peru, well in the mean time we visited so many places, that I wouldn´t know where to start describing...
Machu Picchu was very special, though we were exhausted by the time we reached it. Especially when the park closed, no people there and the vicunhas came out it was very special.
Furthermore we went back to Bolivia, visiting the Lake Titicaca and La Paz, then we crossed the whole of Chile from north to south, visiting San Pedro de Atacama, Santiago, the very beautiful Lake District, going as far south as ....Ushuaia in Argentina (fireland, the end of the world), then heading back north to torres del Paine where we did a four-day track. We visited the impressive ice-berg at El Calafate, went back to Buenos Aires and then started our trip to ...Brazil!
In Brazil we visited Foz do Iguassu, (the enormous waterfalls), Florianopolis, Sao Paolo, Manaus, (4 days in the jungle and 5 days on a boat descending the Amazone), Belem, Sao Luis (colonial city), Barreirinhas (sand dunes and sand), 2 small national parks (P.N. ubajara and sete cidades), Jericoacoara (a cute beach village), Salvador (a very lifely colonial city with live music every night), Morro de Sao Paolo (beach paradise), Chapada Diamantinha (national park full with waterfalls), Ouro Preto (very beautiful colonial city with former gold mines) and...finally RIO (beautifully located with the world famous carnival)!
It was not just about visiting places, we met a lot of great people, experienced local culture, music and dances and now got the taste for South America, we didn't want to leave anymore!
I'm looking forward to see you back soon, to show pictures and tell stories!
I'm curious to know what you all have been up to!
